60 Years of Instrumentation

I wanted to study the relationship between song instrumentation and popularity. I listened to every number one song of the year for 60 years, recorded what instruments I heard, and analyzed the connections. The data was translated into a visual system of circles with colored rings, designed to be both informative and visually engaging.
